iPod santa sock pattern

Knitted red and white Santa iPod sock

  • 1 ball of Patons 'Diploma Gold' 4 Ply in red (4286)
  • 1 ball of Sirdar 'Funky Fur' in white (0512)
  • 1 pair of 2.75mm knitting needles
CAVEAT: Knitting with 'Funky Fur' can take a little getting used to. Take it slowly and work in very good lighting conditions. It is really worth the effort for that soft and fluffy fringe.

Using white 'Funky Fur', Cast on 48 sts using thumb method.
Stocking stitch (knit 1 row, purl the next row) for 8 rows/2cm, finishing with a purl row.
Change to the red yarn being very careful that the end of the 'Funky Fur' is securely fastened (it can be a bit slippery).
Rib (knit purl purl, repeat) to the end of the row.
Rib (knit knit purl, repeat) to the end of the row.
Continue the rib for 35 rows/10cm.
Cast-off.
Fold in half and seam across the red bottom and all the way up the side, including the short side of the white section. Leave the top white edge open and slip your iPod snuggly inside.

iPod nano sock pattern

Light and dark blue stripped knitted sock for iPod Nano


You will need:

  • 1 ball of regia or opal sock yarn
  • set of 2.5mm dpn knitting needles

Cast on 34 stitches on dpn using a magic cast-on, figure 8 cast-on, or a similar method.
Knit for 40 rows until sock is 8cm long.
Rib (knit 1 purl 1) for 5 rows until sock is 9cm long.
Cast off keeping the cast off quite loose.
Darn the tail of the yarn down the inside of the sock

iPod stripy sock pattern

Green, blue, orange and red striped iPod knitted sock

You will need:
  • 1 ball of Anchor Magic in Multicolour (1420)
  • 1 pair of 2.75mm knitting needles
Cast on 44 stitches.
Rib (knit 2, purl 2, repeat) for 8 rows (about 2cm).
Stocking stitch (knit one row, purl the next row, repeat) for 42 rows (about 10cm).
Cast off.
Fold in half and sew up the seams across the bottom and up the side.
